Big South Fork Ride-About Friday-Sunday, May 30 to June 1, 2008 Two facilities in the Big South Fork, True West Campground, and Timber Ridge Campground, have decided to get together to offer a unique opportunity for their guests. This event is limited to 12 riders total. Up to 6 riders will start out at each of the facilities simultaneously. Trucks/trailers will be left at the starting facility. At each facility, riders will be lodging in rooms, cabins, bunk houses, etc. (no camping). Horses will have a stall at each facility. Private rooms are not guaranteed. The ride will start on a Friday evening and end on Sunday afternoon. Lodging, as well as all meals from Friday dinner through Sunday lunch will be provided. Hay will be provided for the horses at each location. Riders will "progress" from one facility to another, ending up at their first facility at the end of the ride. Detailed maps of the routes to take between facilities will be provided. Each rider may bring one suitcase for clothing & personal items. These will be transferred to the next destination each day. Also, one bag of feed per horse and two buckets should be brought. These will also be moved each day. No dogs will be permitted. Riders will return to their original starting point on Sunday afternoon and then are free to leave, or stay at that facility longer if desired. You may also arrive earlier than Friday if you wish. Regular camping/stall rates will apply to the extra days. After you have made a reservation, you will be sent information about what to bring, etc. The total cost for this ride is $250 per person. To confirm a reservation, the full amount must be paid at the time the reservation is made. A full refund, less a cancellation fee of $35 per person, will be given if the reservation is cancelled with at least 15 days notice. No refund can be given with less than 15 days notice.
